Everyone needs hot water for taking a shower, washing your hands, doing the plates, and extra. Even if you choose a dependable water cylinder manufacturer, you must still make sure that the cylinder you buy is the proper scope for your wants. Determining the appropriate size of gas cylinder for your domestic is a rather straightforward process. We’ll gait you finished the process in detail below.

    What Difference Does It Make?

First, let’s talk about why size is important. While we’re addressing physical dimensions here, what we’re really talking about is capacity. The additional space the cylinder has, the additional hot aquatic you can have at the same time. That implies additional baths, additional dishes to do, and so on. You’ll have to spend more money if you have a large water heater system or a lot of water in it because you’ll need more electricity to heat it up.

    The Golden Rule

In a low-consumption home, each person will require between 20 and 30 liters of hot water per day. A typical household consumes between 30 and 50 liters of hot aquatic per person per day. In a home where you use a lot of hot water, you’ll need 50 to 70 liters of hot aquatic for each person each day. However, keep in mind that this is solely for personal use, such as showering or other such activities. It excludes any other applications, such as heating.

    General Size Considerations

As a general rule, we recommend that you choose a cylinder size based on how many bedrooms and bathrooms you have in your home. For your convenience, we’ve included a sizing diagram underneath.

    # of Bedrooms # of Bathrooms Cylinder Size in Litres
    1 1 120 litres minimum
    2 1 150 litres minimum
    3 Up to 2 180 litres minimum
    4 2 210 litres minimum
5 and up 2 and up 300 litres minimum

*Please keep in mind that these dimensions are for straight/unvented tubes.

The table above should serve as a good starting point. However, many factors determine the final cylinder size. Do you, for example, use your cylinder to heat your home? For the purpose of underfloor boiler? The additional you use the water, the more you will need.

You should also consider other factors before making your decision.

People in a Home: The amount of boudoirs in a home does not always exactly reflect the number of people who are really living there. How many people do you have living in your home? How often do they take a bath or a shower?

Dishwashing Frequency: How frequently do you use your automated dishwasher or do you wash dishes by hand? Again, the amount of persons in the family will have an impact on this – cleaning up after a supper for four people will be significantly different from cleaning up afterward a banquet for six or eight persons!

As you can see, there are many factors to take into consideration when choosing what size water heating system you need.
